Just like the clandestine Tinder Select, the invite-only dating app for the rich and beautiful, Loveflutter is the dating app for celebrity and influencers alike.
The app exclusively caters to verified Twitter users, whether they be a celebrity, journalist, or media personality. Despite Twitter never releasing any official numbers, a report from 2015 suggests that of the 150,000 checkmarked profiles on the site, 25% belonged to journalists and media personalities. These reports came before the verification process became open to the public.
Loveflutter says its approach to servicing its customers is a way to protect users against catfishing, since your identity has been verified and confirmed by Twitter. Despite rolling out in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, London and Tokyo, don’t expect to see the app in your neighborhood anytime soon, as the service won’t go live until 1,000 local members are available in your area.
The app has been around since 2013, but recently relaunched as the first dating app to rely on Twitter verifications. Its mission is “to turn ubiquitous flirting on Twitter into something real.” Will you verified users check out the app? Let us know below.
